Join a prominent non-profit organization located in Washington, DC. The Protestant Episcopal Cathedral Foundation (PECF) offers a diverse and collaborative work environment and seeks an Accounting Manager to join our Finance and Accounting Department. The Finance and Accounting team supports four institutions: Washington National Cathedral; the National Cathedral School for Girls; St. Albans School; and Beauvoir, the National Cathedral Elementary School.
Reporting to the Controller, the Accounting Manager will maintain the integrity and accuracy of the PECF combined financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. This individual will also manage efficient operations of the Foundation Finance and Accounting department in all areas relating to accounting issues, internal and external reporting, risk management, internal controls, and financial management. The Accounting Manager will ensure timely and effective financial related customer service to each of the Foundation’s Institution business offices.
Ideal candidates will possess a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field and seven plus years’ public and private accounting experience. Not-for-profit and fund accounting experience as well as supervisory experience required. CPA or Master’s degree preferred. Expertise in Excel is a must and experience with Great Plains is preferred.
